- Helping Freddy discover crayons and a coloring book (and seeing him make the connection on how the Tag Jr. reader works).
- Cuddling with Freddy while watching Rick mow the lawn.
- Going through the car wash with Rick & Freddy. Especially appreciated the attendant who put on a great show for Freddy.
- Watching "Up" with Rick (and sort of Freddy...)
- Watching fireworks with Rick - the always unique PBS Capitol Fourth and the more low-key annual "Himes" display. And feeling relieved that Freddy is sleeping through all of the noise.
Feeling content and knowing how lucky I am to live where I do, when I do. I am grateful to all those whose sacrifices made that possible.
